I installed microsoft outlook. cant find how to get to newsgroups

You'll be wanting to use Outlook Express for newsgroups probably. Outlook,
IIRC, uses OE as it's newsreader. For Microsoft's newsgroups, or a handy
example, you can see here:

Put your question in the body of the message next time.

Outlook is not an NNTP client. You can customize your menu bar to include
the News item in the Go menu, but all that does is run Outlook Express using
the /outnews command line switch. See this for more information:
