Import Microsoft Office Project mpp files

Hi,

We have recently instaled MS Project Server and we would like to import some
mpp files (created in MS Office Project) into the server.

Is there anyway to do it?

Excellent question. Regardless of what version of Project Server you use
(2003 or 2007), I strongly recommend you use the Import Project Wizard in
Microsoft Project, as this tool allows you to make sure each project
conforms to your enterprise standards for Project fields, resources, Task
fields, and Calendars. Click Tools - Enterprise Options - Import Project to
Enterprise. Pay very special attention to the section of the Wizard where
you must map local resources in the project with enterprise resources in the
Enterprise Resource Pool. Also, keep in mind that the tool allows you to
import only one project at a time. You cannot do a batch import of
projects. Also, in the future, please tell us what version of Project
Server you are using. Hope this helps.
