I have just installed Office for Mac 2008 Home & Student edition. I would like to import a spreadsheet from OpenOffice into Excel. How do I do this?

Do you still have Open Office? Or are you willing to reinstall it? Just open
the file & use Save As to save a copy in Excel format. Excel will not Open
or Import .ods data.

Thank you. Which Excel format should I use -
97/2000/XP (.xlt) (Template); 95(.xls); 5.0 (.xls) (Template)?

Neither, actually :) I'd think the Excel 97/2000/XP (.xl*s*) would be the
way to go -- It's the most current of what is offered & those that end with
a *t* are Template formats. Even if you want to create a template I'd
suggest opening the file in Excel, make any changes & adjustments, then use
Save As in Excel to save in a template format (.xltx or the older .xlt).
