importing MS Money to Office Accounting 2009 problem

Richard

I installed Office Accounting 2009 and tried to import data from Microsoft
Money Plus Home and Business. After selecting the file to import, I am asked
to provided my Windows Live password, which I did. The error was always
"Authentication Failed". I confirmed and even reset my Windows Live password
to no avail. I removed and downloaded Office Accounting again, rebooted,
closed EVERYTHING else and the error persists. The Help and password links
on the authentication box do not work

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Does moa actually support importing from Money?
I did'nt see any mention in the help files

There's an icon to create a new company by importing an MS Money file, so the
answer appears to be 'Yes'. However, I'm experiencing the exact same problem.

Microsoft's KB article says the solution is to enter the correct password .
.. . like that's not what's being done. Any help / insight would be
appreciated.

If you use the Microsoft Money password manager, under the file menu,
you can remove the Live ID making your Money file unprotected. This
will allow bypassing the authentication dialog and the problem. For
security, I recommend adding the Live ID back to Money after you
complete the import. I also have Accounting 2009 SP1 installed but I
don't know if this matters for this problem. Hopefully the rest of
Accounting 2009 will operate better than the import process.
