Inactivate and re-activate a user: now the user cannot login...

Hi All,

for some testing I have inactivated some users...

now I need to re-activate the same users but it seems that they cannot
login into PWA anymore...

I have tried to give them administration permission, but nothing... it
seems that the status is still inactive (also if I have change the
status to active)...

when I try to login with those user I get prompted the insert User and
password 3 times and the result is the following:

HTTP Error 401.1 - Unauthorized: Access is denied due to invalid
credentials.
Internet Information Services (IIS)

any suggestion???

should I delete the users and re-create them?

thanks

Vit

Hi Vit,

Please do not delete the users from Project Server. You have to retain
their work & actual work.

You can try the following:

1) Verify the status is showing as active in PWA under Manage Users
section

2) Monitor the queue, whether job is processed or not

3) Ask the user to close the browser and try the PWA home page in new
browser instance

Thanks
Chak

Hi Vit,
Can you check for me wither those users are not locked in active directory.
Sometimes users do get locked in AD and then they are not able to login into
PWA. If they are, try to unlock them and see those users are able to login?

Log onto workstation and user where you are having problem.
Log out and then log in using the administrator.
Log out of administrator and force an NT login.
These will clear out the old login cache and new the most recent Login SIDs.
