Inbox Synchronizing

I am using Outlook for a work email account, NOT hotmail, and I am getting
the following error message:

Task 'work: Folder: Inbox Synchronizing headers.' reported error
(0x800CCCF4): 'An unknown error has occurred. Please save any existing work
and restart the program.'

Can you tell me how to fix this? Thanks!
