incomplete SMTP transaction...

Hi All,

I have a user at our site using Office Outlook as the
email client. At our site, the mail transfer agent is
Sendmail 8.12.11 on a Solaris 8 box. The strange thing
occurred in one morning when the user sent a message,
which appeared to get sent in Outlook, but was not
actually sent. From the Sendmail log, I saw a single From
line there, but no corresponding to line when sorted using
queue IDs. I could simulate such log entry by doing an
incomplete SMTP transaction with the sendmail server.
Anybody experienced such kind of behaviour? The Outlook is
of version 10.6515.6626 SP3. If so, could you share the
solution with me? Thanks.
