Insert an image in Visio and it is degraded

Hi,

When you insert an image in Visio (2007) the image becomes blurry - I tried
this in PowerPoint, Word but these seem fine - why does Visio degrade the
image?

Thanks

What are your settings when you select the image and
menu Format -> Picture?

Paul,

Its when its inserted - I looked at the settings and even when changed to a
higher setting its still blurry? BTW its only when PNG files are inserted.

Thanks!

Yes, you are right, not just PNGs either, same for EMFs, WMFs and
GIFs, it's putting a white border around black areas so it looks like
it's doing compression even when compression is set to 0. Hmmm.

I insert drawings all the time using SnagIt by doing a screen capture
into the clipboard and then past into the drawing.

Also while the screen capture is in the edit mode I can clean it up by
deleting certain unwanted things that came with the capture.

I love it. I use it every day.
