I am trying to insert an existing excel spreadsheet as an object into a task
so when I double click on the spreadsheet in the task it opens the
spreadsheet to edit.

1. In the new task I click in the message body area.
2. I click on the Insert tab in the Ribbon and click on Object.
3. When I go to the Create from File tab the Link check box is dimmed and
remains dimmed even after I browse and select the file I want to insert.

I have also tried copying the spreadsheet and performing a Paste Special.
Using this method I am able to paste it as an Excel spreadsheet and select a
Link check box. However when I double-click on the object in the task it
does not open it up. Even if I right-click on the object and select Linked
Worksheet Object>>Open or Links it does not open.

I have also tried using the Insert, Table, Excel Spreadsheet option. When I
do this a message displays stating that I need to install Excel (which is
already installed on my computer).

Thanks for any insight you can provide.
