Inserting AVI movies in PPT

I cannot insert AVI movies into Powerpoint 2000 sr-1
running Windows 2000P. If I try to insert it as an
object/media clip...I get a "VIDS:DVSD Decompressor"
error. Have not been able to locate this decompressor.
