My expereince has been that Jpeg's are 24-bit images. The
24bit compression is no longer there once a jpeg is in a
word doc (i.e. it is no longer an jpeg image, but a word
image) Stick to 16, 8, 4 or even 1 bit images (like gif's
for example).
