Inserting pictures from scanner

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger) Processor: Intel Hi,
I just installed Office 2008 after having used Office 2004 for several years. To insert a picture from a scanner, using the 2004 version, I would go to the Insert menu and choose Picture, and then choose "from scanner or camera." I cannot find that feature in the 2008 version. How do I do it?
Thanks in advance.

Use the software that came with your scanner to scan the picture to a file.

Then use Insert>Picture>From file... To put it into Word.

TWAIN support was dropped from Microsoft Office 2008: there are no scanner
drivers.

Cheers
