Kam

I am installing the Project Server 2003 on Window 2003 with sharepoint 2003
on an single machines.

during the post-installation task, I log on to the
http://server/projectserver, then come up with a message.

Microsoft JScript runtime error '800a138f'

'null' is null or not an object

/ProjectServer/Shell/Shell.asp, line 529

how can I fix it and continue the rest of the configuration?

Hi Kam,

I would assume that you are talking about Windows Sharepoint Services, not
Sharepoint Portal Server.

Microsoft actually has very suffisticated step by step instructions on how
to install Project Server ( on a single or multitier machine). I could
imagine that this following link be of interest. It will lead you to the
documentation. The best idea is to go through the docu and check that you
have all the configuration settings required. This may help you solve your
problem

http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/FX010857951033.aspx

(check out the "how to plan, deploy and build with project server. Click the
link Microsoft Office Project Server 2003 Resource Kit)

I hope this helps

Can you tell me the right sequence to install Project Server?

I installed the Sharepoint portal, Project server 2003, sp1, sp2, then run
Upgdb112.cmd with error.

while running upgpj111.sql,
[dbnetlib] sql server does not exist or access denied
[dbnetlib] connectionopen (connect())

I am using sa to run the script.
"upgdb112.cmd local projectserver sa xxxxxxx"

Hello Kam,
This is a tipical problem after you use de Service Pack 2.
To resolve this problem, you have to process the scripts(SQL) in the
database of the Project Server.
Thats all folk´s.
Hugs,
Rafael
