Installing Office 2007 Upgrade over Works 9

N

NWA SCORE

Have Works 9 (original equipment so have no Works disk) and cannot load the
Office Upgrade. Says to insert the Works 9 disk which I do not have. Have
already tried the Works 9 "patch" per the box instructions but still get the
same message-no Microsoft product on this computer.
Original suggestion from Microsoft Support was to uninstall and reinstall
Works 9. Without the disk, am unable to do so.
Any suggestions on what else I can do, other than buy new Works program!!

So you have followed the instructions in this KB article:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx/kb/943290 and still can't get the
program to install.

Have you uninstalled all trial Office (not Works) software and it's
associated activation assistant from Programs and features (Vista/Win 7) or
Add/Remove Programs in XP and rebooted the computer after uninstalling?

Still can't get it to install then follow the manual removal instructions
for Office here and then reattempt installation.
