What does Outlook actually have to do with the problem? If you boot up your
machine, don't start Outlook and only start Internet Explorer, do you still
see the problem?

I prefer to use the browser in Outlook instead of IE, and no it
doesn't happen in IE.

I would say it's because the browser functionality in Outlook is not a fully
functional web browser and, as such, some web based scripting won't work in
it. qvcuk.com gives script errors in 2003 as well. As for why some sites
give the error and some don't, that's because some sites are more robust
than others and will give scripting errors on downlevel browers that it
can't figureo ut how to handle.
