All, (mpas)
I have a DB of reports that uses a query that limits the records shown
based on the user login and a join to a table that shows which user
(login) is in which Department or Departments.
That's fine for my Department heads.
But now Finance wants to run the reports, and they need to run them
for
a) all Departments at once
b) any Department of their choosing
Is there a way that if someone in the Finance Department runs the
report, I can prompt them to choose a Department (or not if they want
all), but NOT prompt a Department head?
In other words, can I have a prompt appear only for certain users?
And is that the best approach for what I am trying to do?
Thanks,
Patrick
