Keeping new templates in design task pane of new instalation of ppt

I have added a number of templates to the design task pane of my PPT 03. If
I install ppt onto another computer, is there a way to transport these
templates to the new computer? For example, in OL one can create a
global.dot which has one's customizations in it and copy that to the new
computer to keep one's customizations. Is there something similar in
power-point? Thank you. Bob

Oops. I made a mistake. The global.dot to which I was referring was in
association with MS Word. To transfer customizations in OL I think you may
be able to do it with your outlook.pst file. Not sure.
Can this be done with ppt?

If you copy the templates to the new computer into the template-folder they
will automatically be shown in the design task pane. For templates you don't
have to do more, just copy them.

Another thing are customizations. They are not stored in the template, most
of them will be saved in the registry. For Office 2003 you can use "Office
2003 Save my settings wizard" which comes along with the Office-2003-CD.

No, in Powerpoint 2003 templates (file extension pot) show up when there are
copied into to correct template-folder. The only problem I know about is
that you have to shut down Powerpoint and start it again after adding
template to the folder.
