Even though all my settings seem to be correct, when I try to use the "Check Names" feature when filling out the "To" field, I receive the following message:
Entourage cannot find the server. Verify the server information is entered correctly in the Account Settings, and that your DNS settings in the Network pane of System Preferences are correct. (error 3176)

LDAP Address is correct, DNS settings are correct and we have entered the correct information into the search base window. Why won't it connect to our Global Address list?

connect to our Global Address list?

What are you using for your LDAP server address? It should be the fully
qualified domain name of a Global Catalog server. You should rarely need
to enter anything in the search base field unless your Active Directory
structure is non-standard.

Hope this helps!
