Linking two shapes on the same page.

Is is possible to link two shapes on the same page?

I tried various combinations and permutation of the 'insert hyperlinks'
protocol. It worked properly to link shapes on two different pages but I was
never successful on linking two shapes on the same page. Thanks.

Yes:

1) Select your shape

2) Click Ctrl+K to open the Hyperlink dialog

3) Click the Browse button to the right of the 'Sub address' textbox

4) Ensure the result Page: drop down is set to the same page

5) Enter the name of the shape you want to link to (eg 'Sheet.8')

6) Click ok twice to get back to your page.

Note if you're unsure of your target shape's name, then just right-click on
it and select Format / Special...

Hope that helps.

Best regards

John

It worked perfectly, but I swear I tried that more than half-dozen times
before I posted. Thank you.

I have another question. Is it possible to sort of 'compile' a flowchart
and perform simple logic manipulations; I was specifically considering using
the output of several decision blocks (diamonds) as input into an 'AND gate'.

Is linking the shapes to some data source like Excel or Access the only way
to accomplish this or is there some simpler more straightforward technique?

Thanks again.
(please let me know if this should be a separate post)
