Links not working

Using Project Pro 2003, SP3
I have FS, SS, & FF links between various tasks.
For example, I have FS links between tasks A-B-C-D.
When I change the start date for A, the dates for B-C-D should be
updated accordingly. However, that is not the case. When I change
the date for A, A moves but there is not movement for B-C-D. I
observe the same behavior with the other links. There are no
constraints on these tasks.

I have checked the options and cannot find anything that would cause
this.

Anybody know what is going on here?

Are you moving the stat date by entering the date in the sheet or by changing
the project start date found in project -> project information?

Start date of the task

What dates did you enter for the 4 tasks? Or just the start dates you
entered is all I really need to know.

I have discovered that the problem is in the file. When I create a
new file and enter the tasks with the appropriate dates and links and
then move a task, everything works properly. I don't know what it is
in the original file that is causing the problem.

Colin's answer should do the trick. Unless you are keying the dates for the
tasks as well. Let the logic drive the schedule, rarely do you need to key a
date.

If you have keyed dates, insert the column "Constraint Type" and make sure
they are all "As Soon As Possible" with perhaps the exception of the first
task in the chain.
