local links to pdf-files don't work

I'm using Office 2000. When I make a hyperlink to a pdf-file in a Word
document or an Access table or an Access form, the pdf file doesn't open.
Other hyperlinks (i.e. to a Word document or a website) work normally. Can
anyone help?

I have Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Professional installed. Somewhere on the internet,
I've read that this version of Acrobat doesn't work with local links to a
pdf-file.

PS.: I have another pc with Office 2003: on this pc all hyperlinks work
normally: he asks to open or not (for safety reasons).

Hi skynet,

In Word 2000, hyperlinks to pdf files do work, and they do cause the pdfs to open.

Have you tried running 'Detect & Repair' from the Help menu? Is your copy of Word/Office 2000 fully updated?

It's also possible there's a problem with the Adobe installation. Have you tried reinstalling Acrobat?
