Locking margin settings

N

nanpchef

I often create documents at home and email the doc to myself at work to print
out.
More often than not, when I open it at work, the margins are not the same as
when I created the document and I have to adjust them to get everything back
on one page. Even after I adjust them, I often have to adjust font size to
make everything fit.
I have a newer version of Word at home (2007, I think) and there is an older
version of Word on the network where I am trying to print it off. (probably
2002).
Is there any way to "LOCK" the formatting (margins, etc) so it will print as
I created it at home?

On you computer at home, you should install the driver for the printer that
you use in the office and have that printer selected as the active printer
when you compose the document. The printer does not actually have to be
connected to your computer, but if you are using the same printer driver in
both locations, the layout of the document should be the same in both
locations.
