Looking for Template: IT Department Inventory

I work in the IT department of a fairly large organization (300 users) and
I've been tasked with developing an inventory database to keep track of the
equipment deployed to each user. Essentially, I want to be able to enter an
office number and be able to see what desktop, display, printers, phone,
speakers, external drives, and other equipment might be stored in the room.
As we order new equipment and replace broken equipment that information needs
to be tracked as well. As user "borrow" equipment I need to be able to assign
a checkout and checkin date, and other related information.

I think I can build this from scratch, but I really don't want to take the
time if there's a template out in the world I can work from. Can anyone point
me to any templates that would give me a running start? Thanks much.

I was just wondering if this template works for you or if you found anything
better?
Thanks;

I had already looked at that particular template and it didn't really meet my
needs. It was geared for businesses with frequent reordering needs...moving a
lot of inventory in and out. It gave me some formatting ideas, but I've
decided to build my own from scratch. It's going slowly, but surely.
