Map used to generate html page from global.mpt file MP03

I am generating html reports using a pre-defined export map for multiple
individual mpp files (in MP03).

However even if I customise a map (with the same name) it always seems to
run off the map I have in the global.mpt file rather than the local file.

If I delete the map from the global.mpt (but not from the local file), it
doesn't appear in the list, which shows the map from the global.mpt file is
being used.

Does anyone know how to change the process such that the local map is used
rather than the global map?

I have 7 different .mpp files for which the web report could be run by
different people so ideally this needs to use the map stored in the .mpp file
rather than the .mpt file

Does MP07 address any of these issues?

Thanks,
John.

Hello John,

Export maps are stored in the global.mpt file and are not maintained
in the local file. You can copy an export map from global to a
local project (mpp) file and then have the user copy that to his/her
global. If you need variations on a map, save the modified map
under another name and use that map.

It remains the same in 2007.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.
