Hi

I want to add an editable text box to a slide master, easy huh? Well not for me!! I've managed to add a background, edit font and colour from existing text boxes which now work great, I create a new slide and they all appear and once selected allow the user to edit the text no problems.

Problem I'm having is that I want to add another editable text box, when I do this and go back to my presentation the text is static an un-editable unless you go back into the slide master which I don't want the end user doing.

Any ideas?

This is not possible in 2004. I believe this feature was added to 2007
on the Windows side, but I'm not sure about 2008 on the Mac side (I'm
still waiting for IT to install 2008 for me).

David is correct - in PPt 2004 text boxes are graphic objects which, when
inserted on a Master, simply appear on each slide as thought they were an
image or some other shape. They are not Placeholders, nor can you add
Placeholders to a Master.

In PPt 2008, however, various types of Placeholders can be added to nay &
all Layout Masters. They provide the editing capability you're looking for.
