Meeting Requests/Accepts getting phantom bounce reply

I'm seeing bounce messages when a user sends a meeting request and also when
the meeting requests are accepted as the below example shows.

The bounce message looks like this:

-----Original Message-----
From: System Administrator
Sent: Monday, October 15, 2007 4:40 PM
To: Original User
Subject: Undeliverable:Accepted: test again - please accept and let me
know......

Your message did not reach some or all of the intended recipients.

The following recipient(s) could not be reached:

The e-mail account does not exist at the organization this
message was sent to. Check the e-mail address, or contact the recipient
directly to find out the correct address.

The meeting requests and the accepts to the 'real' recipients get processed
fine.

I've checked the profiles with adsiedit and don't see anything funny. I used
mdbview to look at the sent items and do not see anything that points to
'Original User' . Although when I look at the actual bounce message with
mdbview I get a strange MAPI error and in the message contents there is a
reference to a MAPI out of memory condition.

Were an Exchange 2003 SP1 shop. With primarily Outlook 2003 clients.

I've never seen anything like this before and the only thing new and
different is that EMC's (Legato) EmailXtender has 'touched' the mailboxes in
question. Yes, I've opened a service request with them, but I thought I'd
post it here to see if anyone has seen anything like this.
