Hi Gary

Thank you here is the details

I have installed Microsoft Project Server 2007 with SP2, Winodws SQL Server
2005 with SP2 and WSS + SP 2, All in one SIngle Server.

I can access PWA no problem.

I have created a Project using office Project 2007 with SP2 . When I saved
on the status bar project server 2007 says Save Job 0%, Expected Wait Time
4s. It remains there for ever.

So I checked the Server Settings, Message Queue, The Job Status is Waiting
to Be processed .

When I looked at the events (Event Viewer) Office sharepoint Server
generated an error. The error is Unable to start Service process
SSP..........[GUID]....... Service: ProjectQueueService

I have uploaded the UI here

http://i50.tinypic.com/ru0fhi.jpg

I am the Administrator.

Thank you.

In addition to the above

All services are as per install. WHat specific services I need to look into
it? I have uploaded all service list here.

http://i44.tinypic.com/1hp7gm.jpg

When I searched there was some postings that SSP should me allowed to start.
Link :
http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/Offtopic/thread/b9c4aa54-fd46-43fe-800f-47455c3c2e96

The specific message:

Control Panel>Administrative Tools> Local security policy>Local Policies>
User Rights Assignment > Logon localy -and assign this permission to your SSP
account

Since I am the Administrator of this server (asiapacific\ramas........) Is
the services are as per requirements?
By the way there is no separate user called SSP in user list. I thought
SharedServiceProvider is created during PWA creation it is not a windows
user. Am I missing something?

Thank you

The SSP is not created during installation, it is something you create. Also,
it's running under your user account, which though not an issue, is not best
practice. Have a read of the deployment/install guides on technet and you'll
find a section on the accounts required during set up, and it might be worth
you creating a new SSP to host the PS application, and then creating a new
instance under that.

1. How did you find SSP is running under user account?

In services there is no SSP(Shared services provider). I can see only
Microsoft office Project Server Queue Service Execution and Microsoft office
Project Server Events Service Execution

2. We are at present evaluating Microsoft Project server. So IT support is
not available. This server is part of domain and I am the administrator and I
have full control on this server only. Only I have (User account) in Active
directory. If I create a user and the new user should have access to active
directory then it needs to go through IT to get it listed in active
directory. So it is difficult task and getting approval will be complicated.
So at present it is better to remain with user account since this is not an
issue.

Anything else wrong?

Thanks

Apologies, I meant the queuing and event service. For a demo system this
should be fine, so there is an issue with the install; but to diagnose it
remotely would be very difficult.

With that additional information, I suggest that you have a look at the

I suspect this will solve your problem.
