message recall

hello, we are trying to recall a message send from outlook 2003 and it does
not work. i am using a pop 3 account and so does the recipient, iam getting
the recall message i double click , it asks me to recall the message and i
accept, then nothing happens.
is there a way that the recall message can work? what do i need to check?

recall only works with exchange accounts, not pop3
