Microsoft Excel/Words Office12Crash

[Please Advise]

When i open any excel/words document, system prompts that Windows is Not
responding, along with the error message:

Have tried re-installing the Microsoft Office Hone and Student several
times, but to no avail. Any advice is much appreciated.

Found a solution that worked for me.

I had about the same problem on Windows 2008R2. Actualy The entir
office suite (Excel/Word/Outllok) gave me the Office12Crash problem. Th
problem started appearing after performing a Windows Update. I starte
uninstalling each one of the updates until the problem was fixed. I
appears that uninstalling windows update KB977724 fixed the problem.

Solution: Uninstall windows update KB977724.

I had it on Windows Server 2008 64 bit, with all Office 2007 programs.
Safe mode start, repair mode did not work.

It was exatly this update!
Unbelievable. Microsoft keeps surprising us with those "security
updates", after which we have to spend days recovering.
