PROBLEM:
I jsut bought the disc of Office Mac 2008 Home and Student Edition and it
purports to install properly however when I attempt to open a program (eg
word) I get a message saying "Microsoft Office Did Not install Properly".
WHAT I HAVE TRIED
I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times. I have rebooted machine.
OBSERVATION:
During the installation at the "Product Key" stage the program does not ask
me for one of the three 20 digit alpha numeric keys provided. Instead it
advises - "Your Office 2008 Product ID is ......(a 20 digit NUMBER
incorporating some dashes).
HISTORY
Prior to this I had installed a 30 day trial download of office mac 2008
which worked perfectly.

Problem solved. It worked when I logged on as the administrator. (On the
previous purported installation however the set up did ask me to enter her
user name and password a couple of times during the set up process.)
Regards Peter
