Mirror/Flip Function changed in word 2007?

I use msWord to create art and I commonly use the flip/mirror function on
grouped items, but with word 2007 I don't seem to be able to. I also can't
flip/mirror things that are rotate, I have to set them back to 0 and then
flip/mirror them and then re-rotate them to the position I wanted.

What's going on? Is there a way to flip things that are rotated? is there a
way to mirror things that are grouped? Help!!

There was a big re-work of the Office graphics engine for 2007, and it was
only partly implented in Word. So in Word you have some things that still use
the old tools, some that use new tools, and things that "fall in the cracks".

When I draw AutoShapes, and group them, I can rotate the group. And then I can
flip it.

But these old tools aren't necessarily available for newer things. What are
you trying to use them with?
