Month to Date cumulative totals

I need to calculate month to date cumulative totals in a column beside weekly
data.

I have a reference table with week end dates and Month allocation beside them:

4/7/09 July
11/7/09 July
18/7/09 July
25/7/09 July
1/8/09 July
8/8/09 Aug
etc

Weelky data is just rows with weekly dates at the left:

4/7/09 $10,000
etc

I could do manual cumulatives but I want to future proof it for when we
change our Month end patterns in the future.
