MS Jet database engine can't find object "Databases"

Steve

I'm receiving the above error when I try to open a database. Previous
backups don't receive this error. However, those previous backups aren't
good enough. Does anybody know how I can fix it?

Full error:
The Microsoft Jet database engine could not find the object 'Databases'.
make sure the object exists and that you spell its name and the path name
correctly.

Hi, Steve.

Sorry. Your database file is corrupted. Make a copy of the file and work
with the copy. Try to compact/repair the copy and see if that helps. If
not, make another copy of the corrupted file and import the contents of the
copy into a brand new database file, then compact/repair the new database
file and compile the VBA code. If that doesn't work, then make another copy
of the corrupted file and use Jet Comp on the copy to try to repair it. If
that doesn't work, restore from backup.
However, those previous backups aren't
good enough.

I suspect it's time to hire a new database administrator who makes daily
backups and tests them to see whether or not they work.

HTH.
