MS Project 2002 installation prompt on launching of ms access 97 a

I have been facing an issue with an application developed in ms access 97.
Following is the software configuration:
Operating system: Windows XP SP1
Office: 2000 SP3 + MS Access 97 SR-2 & MS Project 2002

The applications stopped and throwing error since couple of days before on
launching. Applications are using system.mda (ms access workgroup file
version 2.0). Application launched successfully when I removed the workgroup
file from application shortcut but we need workgroup too.

I investigated and found that few files were missing from machine! I moved
those files from another machine. This wont makes any improvement. So
finally I decided to install MDAC2.8.1 on the machine (because of some
limitation/reasons we can’t install XP SP2!!!)

After installation of MDAC 2.8.1 the application starts prompting for MS
Project 2002 installation CD, on launching.
Unfortunately the CD has lost!!!!!!!!

Any idea how to resolve this issue?
