hey all.. i have word 2003 on xp pro. i have a word doc that i've
applied a background picture to, and when i view it in print view
before actually printing, it's the right size. but when i go ahead and
print it, instead of the full image covering the entire background,
word shrinks the image and tiles it in the background. can anyone help?
very frustrating.

In Word, try turning off background printing in Tools | Options | Print.
In Windows, try turning off print spooling and advanced text services
in Start | Control Panel | Printers | <right-click on your printer> |
Properties.

hey GnO, i did as you said, and it's still the same. i even followed the
following recommendation i saw on another site that also addresses this
problem:

Check the setting of the "Print body text before header/footer" option
on
the Compatibility tab of Tools | Options. If the box is checked, clear
it
and vice versa and see if that helps.

any ideas? i really appreciate it.

If you can you print to a different printer, try that.
