I am an experiended software developer, I just have no experience with
InfoPath. I am considering InfoPath because I would like to build XML
document business forms that communicate with a database or web service.

Now the questions.

How secure is InfoPath with database and web service userid's and passwords?

Could a person build a InfoPath document and then distribute that document
to a third party and that third party not have access to the userid's and
passwords?

Could small InfoPath documents be built that will run on a mobile device?

If you are using the InfoPath client then the communication to the database
or web service is point to point. Credentials are passed encrypted over the
wire. If you are using InfoPath Forms Service on SharePoint then you have
several options for making connections including UDC.

passwords?

If you want to make a connection to a database or web service then the
current user of the form will need to have access using their credentials.
InfoPath Forms Service supports mobile devices.

I guess my questions require more explanation. I am thinking of a business
model where I have a web site and on my web site, I provide a service. The
service will allow business users to upload InfoPath documents that they have
built. Once uploaded, the business user's business partners can enter data
into the infoPath forms. And, assuming I understand InfoPath correctly, the
data will be entered into the business user's database because the connection
string information is built into InfoPath.

Is my business model feasible? Can the database connection string
information be kept secret and secure from me, the web site administrator?
