No Icons!

David Dyke

I have Office Home and Student 2007.

I replaced my HD. Therfore I had to re-install Office Home and Student.
After I re-installed the Program, I installed the latest SP for it. There
were no Icons on my Desktop when I finished.

I used Excel (once) launched from the 'All Programs' Bar, when finished, I
'closed' the Program and still no icons like I had before. Is this unusual?

Please tell me how I can put an Icon for the Programs I use on my Desktop.

Someone please respond!

Thank you very much.

Dave

You dont get any desktop icons unless you create them.
There should be a 'New Office Doc' and 'Open Office doc' pinned to your
Start Menu

Not with 2007. Those are not installed by default.

Locate the application shortcuts (icons) in your Start Menu, right-drag them
to your Desktop and when prompted select "Copy Here".
