Not able to save Baseline

Hi ,
I am on SP2 PS + arpil 09 cumm + mpp 2007 sp2.I am facing an issue
while setting the baseline. When I go to Tools >>tracking>>set
baseline,I select the baseline number,Check the entire project option
and then click OK.Now I insert the column baseline Start/Finish .i see
no data in the field.
please let me know the solution if any one has encountered and solve
such issue.

When you insert the column baseline Start/Finish, do you select the same
number ?
