Not supposed to Expire

S

Stephan

I hope someone can help me on this. I updated my beta 2 with the technical
refresh back when it first came out. Now my office suite stopped working
because it said the beta expired Feb 1. I thought that was ridiculous
because I know I updated to the technical refresh (I remember Microsoft had
charged me for the download) which expires the 31st of March. Now I'm
thinking the technical refresh must not have successfully installed because
the software still expired on the 1st.

Is there anything I can do to update this software? I can't use any of my
office applications anymore.

The technical refresh was a free download - only the original Beta 2 was a paid download. Apparently, you did not download the Beta 2 Technical Refresh (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...87-01cf-4bc3-821a-0bb10e7a59fa&DisplayLang=en) otherwise you would have a working beta until March 31.

At any rate, why not uninstall the buggy beta, get a 60 day trial if you intend to purchase the retail version. The beta has been over for over 2 months, is unsupported except in these groups (and most of us either have the retail Office, MSDN/TechNet, or Trial copies) so still running the beta is masochistic at best.
