Notes text changes to Greek

Suddenly one day I opened the Ppt file and saw that the notes text is Greek. Next day, the slide text is Greek also.I reinstalled Ppt, and that corrected it temporarily, but the problem has returned.

I'm not using a template, and the default language is set to English.

Any ideas?

That would be too easy! Not a font problem.

It's similar to this discussion: "Question: Input and text in Greek, want English", though I'm not using a template in my presentation.

I don't know if this'll help with your specific problem, but ALL presentations are based on
a template.

If you haven't applied a different one from the one you started with, it's using the
default template.

Depending on how you've set things up, that might be a separate file or it might be
defaults built into PowerPoint. If it's a separate file, there's always a chance that it's
become corrupt.

Hi,

I think something has changed on your system. It's time to do some
system troubleshooting before trying to fix PowerPoint.

In the Applications > Utilities folder run Disk Utility. Use Disk
Utility to repair permissions on your startup volume.

Next, boot to a current version of a a disc repair utility such as
DiskWarrior, TechTools, or Drive Genius. If you don't have one of those,
boot to your Leopard install disc and run Disk Utility from the
Utilities menu of the installer. You should run volume and file repair
utilities.

Run Font Book in the Applications folder. Use it to resolve duplicates
first and then to identify fonts with bad files or other problems.

If these steps don't correct the problem, please write back and we can
provide additional suggestions.

Deactivate simply the automatic font activation.
