numbering tickets

I would like to number tickets for our Christmas party. I am using Avery 5371
(business card) to print my tickets on. Is there an option somewhere to
number each ticket starting at 1.

I read the 'gmayor' site and the response was in Word - mail merge. I am
printing raffle tickets and don't have any names to merge, I just want to
increment the numbers... did you do this without merge? Did you find info. on
doimg this in Excel?
thanks.joanne

thanks, I figured that out. However, now that I have my raffle tickets
printed, I wanted to also print the event tickets. However, I am getting an
error message for the 'next record' ,command - "cannot include a DATA,
NEXT, etc'. I am printing 8 tickets to a page, similiar to the raffle
tickets, and need to get the next number on the merge - help!??
