I am very inexperienced on Access. I have a database using linked
tables from a SQL backend. Everyday that I log in to this database and
try to use the form that has data coming in from linked tables it says
'ODBC connection failed'. I then have to go to my Linked Tables
Manager and refresh the tables. I guess this wouldn't be a problem for
myself, but I need to have other 'clerks' use this database and
different locales. I have somebody in IT saying that I should
"hardcode" the connection string so it doesn't have to be on the
server. This is way over my head and I've gotten no help. I've
searched this group and have found code from Dev Ashish. I'm wondering
if there is a GOD could someone help me in this? I have NO clue on how
to proceed or where to put this if this would work, etc. Thanks ahead
