Office 2000 OEM on Terminal Server

Jim

I have 30 computers with Office 2000 Pro OEM on them. I am planning to
implement Remote Desktops soon and wonder if I uninstall the software from
all of those computers, and install Office 2000 on a Terminal Server, can I
use my existing licenses for individual user access? Thank you.

You cannot install OEM versions of Office on a Terminal Server, only select
or volume licensed versions.

Hi Jim,

MS Office 2000, the first product to use the MS Installer, had a 'unique' requirement and method for installing on Terminal Server.
It required a special MS Transform (MST) file. Normally, MST files work with MS Office 2000 installations run from a MS Office
Admin Point, which in Office 2000 may not be accessible in non volume license copies, but if I recall you may be able to follow the
procedure here without the Office Admin point to install on Terminal Server.

MS Office license terms apply equally to Terminal Server or local drive based installs, but for Terminal Server you may also need
CAL (licenses) for that product as well.
