office 2003

F

Fabrice

Hello, I installed a few months ago Microsoft Security Essentials. A few
days later, Office 2003, told me that the version I used was not an
original. Recently I have been able to open my office documents. I changed
the key Office 2003 but I still can not open my Office documents while the
new key is an original version.
I can not open Office documents on my computer but I can open them on
another computer with Office 2003 and even with Office 2010 beta.

Thank you.

I don't receive a non-genuine message.
I receive any error when the files don't open.

The translation of error message :

It is possible that this message appears because an antivirus program
prevents
opening the file. This can be caused by one of two conditions
following: The anti-virus software must be updated (after a
compatibility issue with this application) or the file contains a
virus that the antivirus program fails to remove or treat.
In both cases, the file you try to open must be considered
as infected until you have not updated your anti-virus.
All major manufacturers of antivirus software have created updates
days to resolve known compatibility issues with
Office applications. They also provide a signature file
viruses you can download from the Internet and you must
updated regularly to detect all known forms of
virus.
If you encounter this problem on a computer where a new
version of an anti-virus software was installed from a CD-ROM, we
recommend that you connect to internet and download updates
latest update.
If you encounter this problem on a computer equipped with the latest
version of the software, including all signature files are updated, and
the file does not open (while other files open), it is
possible that the file is infected by a virus and that the program
Anti-virus can not destroy the infection.
It is also possible that the file is corrupted (damaged) and that
can not be handled by the anti-virus software or Office application
concerned. In this case, you may need to try to recover the
file using the recovery utility application. Note
all applications do not incorporate recovery functions or
File Repair.
To help in this regard, see the following article based
Knowledge of Microsoft 835404.

Thanks,

You might have got a msg stating 'office is not genuine' but not that it was
not original.
So what happens when you try to open an office doc?

Start an Office application of your choice. Any application.
Create a New File.

If you can make a new file, and save it then reopen it, the application is
okay. If the application is okay but you can't open older files, then those
older files should be considered to be infected, and you need to work with
anti-virus program.

If your Office app will not open, then you need to reinstall Office.
