Thx Terry...I don't know. How would I ck? I do know that when I turned my
computer off this morning, it did download some updates from Windows

OK. Lets try the common solution to this, especially as you have just
downloaded updates. The Word Data Key is probably corrupted because you
installed updates whilst Word was running.

Run Regedit and navigate to the Word Data Key and whilst DATA is select,
press your DELETE button. Word will generate a new key when it is restarted.

Word Data key

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\Word\Data

You don't have the registry editor? Press Start | Run and type in

regedit

and press enter. Then navigate to the DATA key.
