Office 2007 setup failed

I've been trying to setup Office Enterprise 2007 on my laptop, which I had to
wipe clean and start over a while back, and everything is fine, but when the
setup starts, it eventually says,

"The Windows Installer service cannot update one or more protected files."

And then it stops the setup. I don't know how to fix this.

Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Also, I've read about extracting the fp4ault.dll file from the XP disk, but
my CD-ROM drive is busted...

Is there any other way to fix this without having to buy and external drive?

You should be able to copy the files, which are usually any combination of
FP4AUTL.DLL, FPENCODE.DLL, and FP4AWEC.DLL from the C:\Program Files\Common
Files\Microsoft Shared\web server extensions\40\bin folder of another machine
running the same version of Windows to a disc, and then copy them to the same
folder on this machine

I got it handled the other day. Thanks, though!
