Office SR-1s doesn't recognize data1.msi file

It appears that I've hit a basic stumbling block when executing the downloaded SR-1a installation program. During the installation, the program asks for the Office Professional CD, so I put in the CD and it says it can't find the data1.msi file. When I browse the CD, it's right there as Data1.msi. When I select that and attempt to continue on the installation, it doesn't recognize that file. So I copied to desktop and renamed the Data1.msi file to data1.msi and it still doesn't work. This IS the original CD that I used to install the Office 2000 Professional program. Does anyone have any ideas what I do now?

I wish I had the answer to this - its exactly the same as

me - I got to this site looking for an answer - dont
suppose you have one yet do you ?
