Office X opens files twice

When double clicking on file icons to open them, Office X open the
file twice. Strange behavior! Any suggestions?

Am running Office X with all patches installed, and OS X 10.2.6.

No, only Office programs (Word, Exel, Powerpoint)!!

Huh. <dumbfounded look />

By any chance are these documents stored in your startup folder? Or
alternate startup folder (check Preferences for location, if any is
specified).
