Office XP Install Error 2709

I get an error when installing office xp. I can't find
any info on this error message. I am hoping someone out
there can help me with this error message.
The error message reads:
Error 2709 An internal error has occured.
(Global_PowerPoint_UserData )

After that install fails.

I cant figure out what the story is. Windows XP is a
fresh install and is totally updated. The system was in
totally fine working condition before the new hard drive
was installed. The system had Windows XP and Office XP
on it prior to hard drive failure. So I am not sure what
the story is.

Any help will be appreciated.
