Omitting previous tasks from plan

Hello,

We have a few project plans that were created a while ago, but have not been
updated. Now we want to go in and use the plans to update actuals. Is it
possible to omit the previous tasks up until now and put in just a raw
expense total that can be used to carry over so we can begin updating tasks
and actuals from today forward?

Hi,

Possible yes, but a bit dangerous.
If the dates of teh unfinished tasks depend on the finish of old tasks,
upon the deletion of the old tasks they may wel sbe scheduled months ago.
But then you can use the Rschedule Work button in Tols, Tracking, update
project.
Hope this helps,
